Freedom Is Not Free

Thanks for the Veterans -Ep.1

I heard about the veterans who visited South Korea through VOA news on June 27, 2019.
I wanted to express my gratitude to Korean War veterans in some form.

To do this, I designed the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC.
The overall layout of the memorial is represented by Acr A(1), and includes the step lines(2) and the Veterans statues(3).
The sentence on the memorial wall(4) was also expressed.

The meaning of “1950▼ KOREA ▼1953″(5) written in the dedication stone is:
The war began on June 25, 1950, and it means that the armistice was signed on July 27, 1953.
We must Never Forget that it is a cease-fire, not an end to the war, and that it is an ongoing war.
▲ NOW was added to the design with the meaning of the current progression.

Never Forget:
The freedom you enjoy now is the result of a million victims to defend their freedom.

Freedom Is Not Free.  &  Peace Is Not to Beg. $$

In episode 1, I designed gratitude for the veterans who should not forget.
In episode 2, I designed gratitude for the heroes who are currently at war.

Due to photo copyright issues, I will only list one of the five factors above.
